A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Butte-Meade Sanitary Water District was held at District Office on February 10, 2021 at 8:00 a.m.  The meeting was called to order by the President of the Board, Bob Lewis at 8:05 a.m. Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision.

Members Present: Bob Lewis, Brian Stambaugh, Gary Velder, Penny Oedekoven ,Judy Heisler, Merri Stapp, Clerk Treasurer, Mike Wolff, District Manager.  Others Present: Hope Komes. Absent: None.

Motion by Brian Stambaugh second Gary Velder to adopt the agenda as amended. All voted yea.

The Minutes of the January 13thmeeting were read and approved as amended on a motion by Gary Velder, second Judy Heisler.    All voted yea.

The Treasurer’s Report and bills were approved on a motion by Brian Stambaugh, second Gary Velder.  All voted yea.

A confirmation vote on previous approval of Clerk-Treasurer Stapp deferring unused 2021 vacation days to the year she retires was conducted.  She has 43 years working for the District, and will be retiring in the near future. This was originally approved at the August 12, 2019 meeting and confirmation votes for the years 2019 and 2020 were approved at the July 8, 2020 meeting. The deferment practice was also done for the past 2 long term retirees, Von Hanson and Rick Richards. Trustee Stambaugh moved to confirm Clerk-Treasurer deferring unused 2021 vacation days to the year she retires, second, Gary Velder and upon a roll being taken the following voted yea:  Brian Stambaugh, Gary Velder. Abstaining from a vote: Bob Lewis, Judy Heisler and Penny Oedekoven.

The Board discussed the hourly wage for part time office help when needed.  On a motion by Judy Heisler, second Penny Oedekoven the rate will be $ 11.00 per hour up to 25 hours per month.

Discussion was held on separating duties within the office, which would meet annual auditor requirements. Board asked Clerk-Treasurer Stapp to leave, and Hope Komes, Billing clerk to come in to the meeting @9:00 am.
